We’re incredibly proud of Associate Anna Keys who has been shortlisted for ‘Consultant of the Year’ in the Women in Housing Awards 2019.
The category celebrates female housing consultants who have made noteworthy contributions to their organisation and community, and who have involved and inspired others in the field.
Anna has taken the lead on a wide range of calfordseaden’s Section 106 affordable housing projects, delivering over 400 affordable residential units in 2018 alone. Due to her personal experience as an apprentice and her desire to support aspiring surveyors, she has taken an active role in leading work experience programmes at calfordseaden. This tireless advocacy for the surveying profession also saw Anna take up the year-long mantle of RICS Matrics National Chair 2018-19 and a full programme as ambassador for the organisation.
The nomination has been a well-deserved nod to her dedication and enthusiasm, and Anna was delighted by the news. “After the initial excitement of hearing about my nomination and after the news had hit social media, I was met with congratulations and well wishes from clients, colleagues and industry friends. I realised that the world is watching and awards such as this are the perfect platform for inspiring those around me and the next generation of female professionals. I wish all those shortlisted the very best of luck,” said Anna.
The Women in Housing Awards are run by Inside Housing and the CIH, and celebrate the achievements of outstanding women working in housing. Now in their seventh year, the awards highlight the amazing work and achievements of the many women ‘making homes happen’.
This year saw a record number of entries and the judges noted the quality of the entries, “reflective of the fantastic work which women are doing across the housing sector”.
We’ll all be rooting for Anna on 10 October when the winners are announced.
