In August 2000, our Birmingham office first opened its doors to serve our clients across the wider Midlands and north of the country. 20 years on, the office continues to expand and deliver multiple services to our growing client base.
Over the past 12 months, we have expanded our Architecture team and grown our M&E service offering, resulting in the new appointment of Partner Richard Wilson to head up the service.
We talk with partner Neil Hebberts to find out more about this great achievement.
As part of calfordseaden’s aspiration to spread its geographical coverage, the new Midlands office opened for business on 1st August 2000.
Chartered Surveyors (and fellow Midlanders) myself, Ashley Harper and Michael Moran, took up residence at the new Birmingham office, and we are still going strong today. Our team’s complementary skills and common desire for delivering a quality service, provided a firm foundation for the new venture, initially ensuring a blend of different Surveying Services.
Since then, we have introduced Health & Safety and Architectural services and expanded our Employers Agent and M&E services.
Looking ahead, our local Business Plan targets more diversification of services, whilst still consolidating the delivery of our current offering. We continue to experience a greater emphasis on quality throughout the construction industry and an unfortunate corresponding increase in disputes and litigation which is evidenced by the increasing number of enquiries for our Expert Witness, Building Pathology and Litigation Support services. We are also keen, as is the overall business, to bring more apprentices and graduates into the profession and provide them with the valuable support they need.
We are proud to have experienced all these positive changes over the last 20 years, and look forward to many more over the years to come.
Thank you and stay safe and well
