calfordseaden’s round up of MIPIM 2016

calfordseaden’s round up of MIPIM 2016

calfordseaden participated at MIPIM for the 4th time in March 2016, with support from the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), in the London Pavilion.

The numbers attending this year increased to over 30,000, including many investors and developers.

Regeneration and Housing remained very much in focus with several councils, City of London and development partners all exhibiting.

Brandon Lewis (Environment and Planning Minister) circulated with the LCCI delegation learning about various council and private initiatives. Schemes including Royal Docks, Tottenham Hale, Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (OPDC) and London Borough of Ealing’s development programme were amongst those highlighted.

We promoted calfordseaden’s mixed use regeneration schemes, with focus on delivery management, quality management and financial management.

Our initial conclusions are that:

  • calfordseaden increased their profile amongst councils, developers, funders and intermediaries as a principal participant within regeneration
  • calfordseaden attended and participated in “thought leadership” presentations with public figures and policy makers
  • Extensive networking was available both within the London Pavilion and outside.
