Loxford Lane Completion Ceremony

Sam Backham and Kyle Helleur represented calfordseaden at the Completion Ceremony for the Loxford Lane project in Redbridge!

Sam and Kyle, who led the project as Project Managers, joined representatives from the London Borough of Redbridge, Lovell, Greater London Authority, Pollard Thomas Edwards, Price and Myers, and new residents to celebrate the successful delivery of this important development, which provides 159 much-needed new homes centred around a shared courtyard with play facilities. The scheme comprises 142 apartments across four RC frame buildings, including one higher-risk building, as well as 17 traditional townhouses.

We proudly provided Project Management, Quantity Surveying, Contract Administration, Employer’s Agent, CDM Advisor, and Clerk of Works services from inception through to completion working alongside our Client London Borough of Redbridge and design consultants Pollard Thomas Edwards Architects, Price and Myers and Environmental Services Design (amongst others) during pre-contract stages, then Lovell Partnerships post-contract.

We were also tasked with procuring and project managing a separate enabling works package to achieve key funding completion milestones whilst concurrently procuring a main works contractor to complete the remainder of the project leading to the appointment of Lovell Partnerships.

The development has helped strengthen the social fabric of the area, with over 200 people from the local community and supply chains involved in the construction delivery stages of the project. Engagement with local schools formed part of a wider effort to inspire the next generation to consider careers in construction.
