PAS 9980 Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls

As part of our esteemed Fire Consultancy services, we are able provide PAS 9980 Fire Risk Appraisal of External Walls (FRAEWs) on your premises.

calfordseaden has conducted FRAEWs on multiple apartment buildings across the UK. On these schemes, the client provided us with a list of residential buildings below 18m on which we were instructed to carry out FRAEWs following the PAS 9980 risk appraisal.

These appraisals ascertained if the externals walls were likely to contribute to fire spread and whether the risk was tolerable from a life safety perspective. Each appraisal included a schedule of remedial measures considered to be required.

We are able to use our extensive knowledge of building design to determine where the construction would fail to meet current design guidance, and guidance that would have been applicable at the time of construction.
