Tim Jackson shortlisted for RICS Matrics ‘Mentor of the Year’ Award

Tim Jackson shortlisted for RICS Matrics ‘Mentor of the Year’ Award

Congratulations to Tim Jackson, Partner, who has been shortlisted for ‘Mentor of the Year’ in the RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year Awards 2019.

Tim is one of ten nominees recognised for their contribution to nurturing and championing the talent of tomorrow. The judges noted the impressive quality of this year’s candidates, and received “exemplary entries across all ten categories from a diverse pool of young professionals”.

Tim has played a pivotal role in the roll-out of a new Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) mentorship programme at calfordseaden. The refinement of this programme has seen our candidates achieve an APC pass rate of 85% since 2015 and a pass rate of 100% in the last three sessions. Tim has extended this same dedication to external APC candidates during internal mock interviews. For the last three years, he has also been a mentor with the University of Reading’s award-winning Thrive Mentoring scheme, and regularly participates in university and secondary school career fairs.

The nomination was well received by Tim, who said: “I am honoured to be shortlisted for this prestigious award and delighted to be recognised for something I am truly passionate about. I hope that awards of this nature will raise the importance of investing in people as they start out in their careers, and nurturing them so they reach their full potential.”

The category winners will be announced at an awards dinner on 28 November 2019, and we wish Tim all the best as he goes up against the industry’s best.
