Kevin Willoughby, Partner, attended the Great Eastern Quays development topping out ceremony to mark the construction of phase one.
Great Eastern Quay is a mixed used development in Beckton, east London and is being developed by Notting Hill Housing. The development includes 850 residential units of mixed tenure as well as business, retail and leisure areas. calfordseaden provided M&E services for phase one, which features a range of one, two, three and four bedroom homes, 44% of which will be affordable housing.
The main aims for the development are to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes level 4 and comply with the London Plan. The entire development is to be completed in September 2017, with homes available for rent from later this year.
Councillor Ken Clark, Cabinet Member for Building Communities, Public Affairs, Planning and Regeneration and Deirdra Armsby, Head of Planning and Regeneration at Newham London met with calfordseaden, Notting Hill Housing representatives and contractor Galliford Try Partnerships to witness the development’s progress.
