This project on levels 8 and 9 at 100 Cheapside for Ashtead Group involved mechanically altering the Category A services to suit the Client’s requirements.
The project involved approximately 1114M2 of open plan office accommodation, divided between two floors. Part of the 8th floor was sublet and therefore specific services were considered to ensure efficient subdivision of the space.
The project brief was to create a general open plan office layout on the 8th floor with a sub-division for a separate occupier. The requirement for the 9th floor was the creation of a high quality meet and great area and a new company boardroom.
The electrical services requirement for the project included altering the existing fire alarm, retention of the existing fluorescent lighting, provision of new underfloor electrical services and floor boxes and installation of a new communication room.
High levels of collaboration and communication were required with the landlord’s consultant and managing agent during this project to arrange a re-scheduling of the mechanical services to suit the overall fit out.
