calfordseaden was appointed for provision of multi-disciplinary services for this mixed use development incorporating a Multi Storey Car Park (MSCP), providing 546 parking spaces and an additional 27 open air surface car parking spaces, a four storey office and residential scheme.
The designs for the Northgate End development respond to the conservation area setting by delivering contemporary façades in keeping with the historic setting.
The scheme includes the creation of a ‘wet woodland’ alongside the mixed-usebscheme with office space which will used for business start-ups.
We were lead designer on this scheme and provided multi-disciplinary services, including BIM coordination services. We carried out clash detection and produced clash reports. This project was following the older PAS 1192-2 BIM standards where a BIM lite approach was used to be able to produce coordination and quantity take off from the model however no COBie production was required.
This was a brownfield site located within a conservation area and adjacent to a scheduled ancient monument.
