calfordseaden was appointed to provide the combined detailed design/post completion stage Home Quality Mark (HQM) Assessment for the development.

The development consists of 77 residential units within six blocks ranging from two to six storeys, including three and four bed town houses, one and two bed apartments and three bed duplex units. It is built on land previously occupied by Coppetts Wood Hospital. The dwellings are a mix of affordable rent, shared ownership and private sale.

The scheme benefits from cycle parking, residential car parking with active Electric Vehicle Charging points to 20% of parking spaces, the provision of two Car Club parking spaces, private and communal amenity space including children’s play area, and refuse and recycling stores.

The development has achieved a HQM 3 Star Rating. The assessment involved organising and running workshops to advise on credit criteria, review and advise on evidential information. Other key deliverables included overseeing the project as it developed to ensure credits are in line with targets. The work also included assessing the risk of not achieving the targets and highlighting areas where alternative credits may be obtained to ensure the project was successful in achieving the HQM mark.
