calfordseaden has been delivering Architecture, Civil Engineering, MEP, Sustainability, CDM Principal Designer, and Building Regulations Principal Designer services under the CHIC Framework for St Oswald’s, a proposed new build neighbourhood in Gloucester.
The site is located on the former cattle market/landfill brownfield site behind St Oswald’s Retail Park, an area with significant environmental and infrastructural constraints. The scheme seeks approval for 277 homes, all located around a central village green that provides a heart to this new community, with streets orientated to provide views of Gloucester Cathedral.
The design provides cutting edge contemporary elevations utilising hard wearing materials, such as brick. Our masterplan incorporates flood mitigation, sustainable drainage (including an attenuation basin within the flood-risk area), with low-energy, biodiversity-positive design.
