Sudbury Community Health Centre

Suffolk

calfordseaden was appointed as Technical Advisor and Employer’s Agent to establish a new community health care centre within Sudbury.

We worked alongside Assura Group Limited, the leading primary care property investor and developer on this scheme. The projects aim was to bring a range of community based services all under one roof and replace former facilities that previously existed at Walnuttree Hospital, St Leonard’s Hospital, Acton Lane Clinic and the Siam GP surgery.

The state of the art building delivers a wide range of services to local residents including paediatrics, physiotherapy, speech and language therapy, mental health and GP services.

The development aims to increase the efficiency of the services as they are housed in one centre, as well as alleviate the burden on secondary care facilities with fewer residents having to rely on them. The new centre aims to benefit the NHS by providing patients with more streamlined care, whilst reducing patient waiting times for the local community.
