calfordseaden provided Daylight and Sunlight analysis and reports to support the planning application for the proposed development of the Tesco car park in Yiewsley, West Drayton.
The scheme would provide a four-storey residential block with 76 units overlooking the Grand Union Canal. Daylight and sunlight amenity was calculated to determine the effect of the proposed development on the existing neighbouring properties. We also calculated the daylight and sunlight amenity to the proposed habitable rooms within the development itself.
Feedback was given on ways to increase the amount of daylight within the proposed habitable rooms. This included increasing the size of the windows or position of balconies to allow the rooms to meet the BRE recommended target values. A report based on the final design was then produced to be submitted to support the planning application.
